THE VETERANS

WHO ARE THEY?

THEY ARE COMING

Some are young. Some are homeless, some are serving now. Some are trying to support their families, but some are finding it difficult. Some wake up at night, steaming with sweat, victims of ongoing nightmares. Some are in their70’s and some are in their 60’s and their bodies are failing them and some are even younger. Some have mental issues. Some distrust the government. Some have tried to get help in the past and were passed around from one agency to another. Some have no hope. Some are drug addicts. Some are alcoholics. Some need a friend who cares. All of them are veterans who have and are serving our Great country now.

Do you know a local veteran or service man or woman who needs help? Are you a Veteran, Active Duty, National Guard, Reservist, Coast Guard, spouse, or a dependent? Come see what’s there for you.

Remember Stand Down is a place of miracles. Lives are changed and lives are saved. The founders of Stand Down, Robert Van Keuren and Dr. Jon Nachison had a dream. They made it a reality, one which continues to offer a true stand down to the veterans of all services and all eras.

You don’t leave anybody outside the wire. If you’ve got wounded, you go get them regardless of the cost!
